My Blooming Yard

I just wanted to share a few pics of my plants in bloom....every day there is a new one in bloom :) There is a snowball bush...Bridal wreath ...honeysuckle & clematis. :) I purchased the clematis this year ..it is recommended for patio pots.
but I think I will transplant it if it starts to get too big & I wouldn't know what to do with it in the fall/winter.

Thank-you Mrs.Peacock

I certainly hope this is an example of what our future summers will be , long ,warm & sunny.I palnted my flowers the 1st week in May,but usually wait until the long week-end.It feels like we have had 1/2 of our summer already even though it is the 1st week of summer.

What a beautiful backyard retreat Sweetpea!  Your flowers are wonderful and healthy. Looks like a nice place to sit back, relax and bbq.

Everyone's gardens are sooooo lovely!
I've made a few attempts at growing flowers, but I just don't have a green thumb :p :(

I am posting pics of some of my plants with the Blackie and as you can see the green potato vine would have more punch. Unfortunately with all the rain we have had, I have to dehead alot of my petunias (blooms are rotting) and hope that the one day of sun helps. Will post later of the handing plants on the deck but they need the sun. They were beautiful last year, the rain is good for them but the lack of sun seems to stunt their growth and blooms.

Keep posting your pics, they are great.

Love your potato vines, I put in Blackie this year in my flowers and they don't have the punch of the green. Beautiful colours.

in bloom this week............... :) I have more varieties of day lillies in bud. These are the common ditch lillies.
The hydrangea has buds. It was started from seed by a gardening friend of mine. Love flowers.

I love back yards and flowers, pot arrangements. Front yards and entrances, etc. We have been getting rain here on a daily basis so the blooms seem to come and go quickly (and we don't get a chance to enjoy) but the grass and weeds are there as a daily reminder.

Beautiful pics, keep posting.

Hi Pearl;Your roses should bounce back now that you tied them up.They are beautiful roses..Is the pink one a climbing rose ? The tiger lilies bring fond memories as we had them at home when I was young....we had alot of irises too, :) .the weather has been awful here also(northern ontario) Here is a pic of the Jackmani clematis, the yellow climbing rose with a bloom and the mock orange tree is now in bloom :)

the last 2 days have just about done in my roses. I had to tie them up today. Other than that a few things have some colour finally. :)

Wow how nice. All that has happened around here is the lilacs finally bloomed but with 11 days of straight rain some of them pooped right out and there doesn't seem to me as much scent around. My hostas etc. are still just pushing up now. Haven't even gotten around to buying annuals yet (running a bit late with the weather and other things getting in the way. )I really need to move somewhere with a longer spring, summer season. I keep telling myself that dandelions are at least colourful.

Joanna;I didn't realize chives would make such a beautiful plant ..I love lavender but it doesn't come back each year for me:confused: Maybe our winters are too harsh...so I plant some every year in a pot just so I can smell it :)
I planted a climbing rose last week ,& it appears to be doing well , I'm anxious for it to bloom & hopefully it survives the winter...... I see you also like hostas(my favourite) :)
Jeep; You have a nice clean slate to plan your garden and you know we will be more than happy to help :)
