I guess that is why our Golf Courses are so green. Hopefully it will help our new lawn next year.

We have both deer and the sheep that eat everything around here. The biggest difference is the deer nip the grass and the shrubs but the sheep grab the grass and yank it out by the roots. The same goes with smae plants they don't just eat it they destroy it. You will see them on their hind feet standing and reaching way up in the trees and eating the berries. They also poop everywhere they seem to like the driveways best.

Cute little pests they are:rolleyes:

In my experience, they don't have to be meat eaters to make a mess of the yard. Deer, sheep, bunnies, etc. are very good at eating, digging, pooping, and generally destroying the place if they want.

Neat. I imagine they are hanging around close with all the snow this year. Are they pests when it comes to rummaging etc.?

I think carnivores do most of the rummaging, not herbivores. Unless there are some meat eating sheep I am currently unaware of.:)

They are pests when it comes to flowers and things but we are used to it and they are a real tourist attraction so we live with it. Everyone has high wire fences around their shrubs. I am verylucky to live in such a great place.

We have about a foot or maybe a little more which is a lot for us at this time. We usually have snow but it comes and goes all winter but this year it came and hasn't left.

Cool wild life right out the window. I was expecting deer, or coyotes in the pic not Rocky Mountain Big Horn Sheep:laugh:

They are female Rocky Mountain Big Horn sheep we have a herd of about 200 that live in town. They eat all the treees and plants but are harmless you can walk right by them. During the rut you have to be a little more careful the Rams butt heads but other than that they are just walking around.

What are they goats or very large rabbits?
