the nameless plant in my album now has a name(s).
Hamelia patens or Butterfly bush, Firecracker shrub, Mexican Firebush, Scarlet Bush, Hummingbird Bush.
It will get scarlet flowers and then berries and foliage turns red in the fall. Hummingbirds love them. They are almost 6 feet tall now. Apparently they re-seed and where ever wind or birds take them they grow, prefer full sun. I pinched the centre bud off a few to see what happens.
They may bush out and flower there as well.

Actually the plant is a type of balsam that reseeds. My neighbour had the wrong name. They are 5-6' tall and blloms are burgandy on some and pink on others. I will try and remember the right name. Sr. moments you know .
I bought 2 of these plants and they were growing well.Went out one day and they were both gone,no trace of them anywhere and the ground wasn"t even disturbed. So I guess the butterflys aren"t the only thing that loves them.Have you had any problems?
