I'm going to be installing floor and ceiling trim in about a week. I can't use a hammer, as the center of the trim is concave and the hammer head would hit the trim before the nail is in.
Is there such thing as a punch with an indentation in the end for this kind of thing. I'd use a regular punch, but I think it would slip off the tiny nail head.

Hi dbd,
I saw similar ones at that price online at Home Depot.
I'm figuring those will be fine for trim.
hint: most air nailers are pretty big and need a compressor but you can sometimes rent smaller ones that come with air canisters.
I just bought a small electric nailer at CT. I think it was about $40 and does 1.25" brads. Unfortunately I haven't used it yet so I can't give you a review but I figured for what they cost to rent and the amount of work I have to do in this house it's worth trying.
Ok thanks. That's what I'll do.
You need to use a nail gun.
You've assumed correctly :D
Thanks Kipper.
That's a good idea, and considering how much trim I have to do, I think I'll just by one.
So I assume they have a pressure adjustment to get the nail in at just the right depth?
Maybe renting an air nailer would be a good bet. It'd certainly make quick work of the job, and the tip of the gun for finishing nails is quite small.
