Need garden shed ideas... and tree ID!

We recently moved into this house and one of the first thing's on DH's agenda is to replace the little pool shed with a larger garden shed/pool house/changing area. We will destruct what's there now, and extend it to the back of the lot (where that line of shrubs is now - there's nothing behind there it's really wierd).

Anyways, we want it to look cute and cottagy because we will be back there all the time. I would love any ideas or links to inspiration.

Also, does anyone have any idea what kind of tree that is plastered to the side of the existing shed??? We're going to try to save it.

TIA!

These two companies make really nice prefabricated shed kits (or they'll build them for you on site):

We've seen both these products at the Home Show and they were really nice. A bit on the pricey side, though. Eventually, we want to replace the shed we have in our backyard with one of these pool houses, but we need to save up about $10,000 first!

sweetpea, yes that is very much like what I have in mind! Thanks so much for posting that pic. I did some image googling last night and found a few kits as well, although DH will just build this from scratch. Just trying to decide if we should put the door on the end, or on the long side which will face the pool.

As for our weather, well I wasn't trying to rub it in or anything, but yes all our snow has melted already, the kids have already been into the sidewalk chalk and I have snowdrops coming up! :D It's been beautifully sunny here this week. I'm in the Fraser Valley, about 90 east of Vancouver. Try not to feel too bad.

I tend to agree with SweetPea the "tree" looks like a honeysuckle vine :)

I forgot to mention the vine on the side of the little house looks like it may be a honeysuckle vine. I have these on our fence & it looks very similar. You may have to wait until it starts to bloom. :)If it is a honeysuckle they are very hardy. :)

Hi Bizzymumma; I have posted a pic of our" Little House" we don't have a pool but because we don't have access from our kitchen to the back yard we had this house built to use as an outdoor kitchen. We have cupboards a fridge all supplies you wpuld have in a kitchen. This saves running in & out of the house.I go out in the summer & spent the whole day outside.
I will post pics of the inside after the nce weather arrives in about 6 weeks or more.. Was that pic of your backyard just taken ,if so you are sooo lucky to have that weather already. :)

NO snow! I want to live where you live.

As for a shed, there are some really nice kits out there that do look like little cottages. I think the big box stores carry a model or two but you might want to check places like Windsor Plywood (assuming you are in BC) as they may have access to some nice ones.
