We finally got our cabinets installed in the garage, there's lots of room for every thing now, no peg boards and no back splash, I don't like that look, too much stuff to look , everything in drawers and cupboards. I've tried it out a few times now,it works great, we have the lighting under the cabinets, we're very happy the way it turned out.

I am reading your post because I am in the process of trying to establish a small business that caters to people who need to organize their garage and create some extra space. However, I don't want to offer the very high end systems that a lot of people can't afford, only the economical versions. I set up a web site to show the idea and I am looking for feedback on whether this may be viable if anyone can help.
I don't have a garage   Booo!!
Looks great, Lacombe - how can you tell I'm a mite jealous?!
My garage is a frickin' mess !
It has become an unorganized warehouse of stuff.
When I take walks in my neighbourhood, I will admit, I do peer into the open garages and do quite often get some sort of relief ! - as I noticed, there are many garages that resemble my own:eek:
(Peter Walsh needs to knock on my door)
;)
My sentiments exactly.
Now that is taking your garage space and using it seriously. Very nice.
Seems to me if you get a lot of slush in your garage you might want to look at flooring that allows it to drop and flow out of the garage. Have you seen the rubber mat floors that you lay on top? I have some on my cement patio and when it's raining or wet at least you have a better chance of not walking through the wet because it keeps you above the water.
Here's one that is similar to what I bought (at HD, Rona carries it too). It's really easy to install and can be pulled up any time. If memory serves, I think the stuff I bought was about $13 for a pack of 10 (12 X12" tiles). Mine have been outside in the weather for about 2.5 years now and are still like new so our weather doesn't bother them. http://www.elite-xpressions.com/racedeck_freeflow.htm
Thanks Ladies, I had alot of fun designing it, I love the way everything is put in its proper place. The Cupboards and the top are all from Home Depot the cabinets are Kraftmaid, the style is Belair, white finish, and it's a laminate, not a real hardwood, that would have cost alot more money. My husband was teasing me when we were designing it, he said why don't we go with the granite top, what are you crazy, just kidding, we have granite in the house, in the kitchen and all the bathrooms. We do want to do something with the floor, we live in Alberta, and it gets very slushy and snowy in the garage with 2 cars going in and out all the time, I'm always whipping up the mess off of the cement. We had someone come up from Sierra Store, this product looks fantastic when its down on the floor, but its pretty pricy, I'll post the link, we might get it in a couple of years, I have to save up for it. Those cabinets look great........are they made of wood or steel?
Are you planning to do something with the floor, paint or tile?
I'll have to show this garage to my DH, I'm pretty sure he'll like it, maybe it will be an incentive to do something with his.
officially have nicer cupboards in your garage than I do in my kitchen! It looks great and so clean and so organized...wow. Congratulations. Now, do you wanna come and work on my kitchen :biglol:
I am trying to get us organized. We do not have a garage but our utility room turned mudroom is supposed to help us with that problem. I wish I had that kind of space to do what you have done. I hope everybody "chez vous" is good at putting things away.
Looks great Lacombe!
