I'm just wondering where you purchased your floating shelf that you posted in another thread. I have an extremely narrow hallway but need something there.
I found this inspiration pic as well. I love the chunkiness of the shelf.
Thanks for your help :)

for sure, but your shelf looks similar to the picture rail that Ikea sells for $7. Well, yours is nicer, but it might be something to consider if someone isn't handy. Just needs to be painted or stained. :)
Our mirror is huge
We got it for a steal when our local White Rose went out of business
It measures 55"W and 42"L
the shelf has about a 6" overhang on either side
how pefrect this should be here
I want to do a shelf for my entrance way, I have one there and I am tired or it and likek obella the ikea one is way too wide.
:)
I have to give this one a try.
One more thing...how big is your mirror? I have one but I am not sure if it would work with the shelf. Thanks
Yeah Ikea would be too deep. I might have to give it a try. Thanks :)
we just winged..(?), it.
It's not like we build things...it was completely out of neccesity.
To attach it, we screwed a board the length of the shelf into the wall-
then the shelf, top, closest to the wall was screwed into that board...
kind of hard to explain, but I'm sure you get what I'm saying.
It's too bad IKEA doesn't make them shallower....I love the look of theirs..
Haha, I just came back to edit that I had seen another post saying you made the shelf. Everyone on here is so handy! I will have to give it a try. Did you have instuctions or did you just wing it?
we made it.
I wanted one from IKEA, but it was too deep.
It was very easy...we bought the width and depth of wood we wanted and then added a trim around the three sides to make it appear thicker
I'm not sure you will find one narrow enough...but it was not at all difficult, us two chicks did it, no problemo!
