Odd living room - nothing symmetric - want built-ins help!

one of 3 pics, others on flickr (see link)one of 3 pics, others on flickr (see link)link to photos:http://www.flickr.com/photos/32936971@N00/5540123882/in/set-72157626175289875/ old farmhouse - living room / dining room runs along front of house - measures about 20' x 13' or so - wall with single window at end (window is off-centre) - doors / windows / ductwork all to take in to consideration - never use front door though may eventually am thinking of putting built-shelving/cabinets either side of pine door - would not be same width as spaces are different but his months H&H's cover has something that's not equal-measurments also - would paint white - perhaps even narrow built-ins on the one-window wall? Stereo/TV would rest somewhere on some of the shelves. question - not sure what to do with wall with window - and then how to orient furniture? I will paint it cream/dk parchment type of colour - rest of house is greys/blues/cream - am stuck with green couch. thanks for any ideas!

Hello l8kegal,

I would do built-ins on either the door wall OR the window wall, but not both. So either flank the door unevenly or flank the window unevenly.
