Soooooo...just checking in after a VERY long break from the boards. Been busy with life....Paul was away for 6 weeks and I became manager at Bowring, then I was down with the flu (was told to assume it was H1N1) for two weeks...and on and on and on. Anyway, thought I'd pop by and see how y'all are doing. Imagine my surprise to find this new format. I'm not sure I'm a fan of it either....but I'll give it a chance.
Haven't done a whole lot with the new house. Finished the kids' bedrooms first, and painted our room. Still need new trims and flooring and to finish our walk in closet. Haven't really touched the main floor....except to demolish. Ripped up all the gorgeous shag carpets...and tore down all the lovely wallpaper. The kitchen is still as it was. New appliances coming just before Xmas...but we're trying to hold off on doing the actual kitchen reno til next summer when the kids are in NL for a month. We also haven't touched any of the bathrooms. The list is long....and the spare time is very very limited. Hoping to get at least the living room and front entry all prettied up by Xmas. Of course...in order to do that, I need to decide on a paint colour. LOL. Sooooo many decisions!
I'll be back in a few days with some pics and questions. I think we're trying to get motivated to paint next weekend...maybe lay some new tile in the front entry. I definitely need some opinions.

Hi Mel, congrats on the promotion, pooh on the flu! I too haven't been around much, and I am still not sure I like the new look, either. Yu can only do what time, energy and money permit.
I am shortly going to start my living room, too. I need to take off about three layers of wallpeper that have been painted over before I can do much else. Our bathroom is also on the list, but I am not sure what we can do with it at the moment given our limited budget . . .
