OK

I am pretty sure I will be using the blue turet on the acent wall.
I think it might be too washed out in that space because there is so much natural light coming in. Whatever blue there is in it might just disappear. I could be wrong but that would be my main concern.
Personally I cannot see this colour in that space...either. :) This is the steamship colour....condogirl :)
WOW! The pistol pewter/blue combo looks fabulous! I have really enjoyed this thread.
Thanks cmm! I am excited to...Thanks to everyone who gave me their thoughts on this! I appericate all the imput, I cant wait to get it on the walls so I can take pics and show you all.
OK.... I'm so excited for you.....firstly, because you sound like you've pretty much decided, and secondly because I can't wait to see Pistol Pewter on the walls! MikeD's pics are fabulous but a bit dark because they may have been taken at night. So I want to see this colour again in your space and see how different (or similar it looks).
I did not think for one minute you were mocking Sarah at all. You were kidding around as I do too. I like the idea that we can all can come to decor solutions with one anothers' help and input. After all that is the forum appeal, to support one another and save an expensive decorator. Some may be too shy to say how they really feel with a decorator , where as with us it is a more relaxed and less intimidating process we can all share in. :)
I dont dislike her work I think its lovely its just not my style...
I was not mocking Sarah, I was thinking of the other post where Princess wants to get in an expensive designers - I just meant that WE (ALL) can do a pretty darn good job too!
Personally, I like Sarah's work.
Oh but Sarah is great....her style is more timeless I guess which I like.
The light blue Turret & brown combo is my fave.... :)
Painting should be happening next weekend.. at the latest! so I will have pics for you all soon!
There..I'm glad you mocked it up...I like it much better ;) . Hope to see the actual walls painted those actual colours real soon!! (As opposed to the virtual type)
:) Mel
I have no need for her thats for sure, I want my house to have some life in it, everything she does is just to safe for me!
who needs Sarah Richardson, when there is US!
Ya it does look pretty cute doesnt it...
I think I like the Pistol Pewter better than the Smokey Brown
Ok here it is with the Blue and Pistol
Oh alrgight I will mock it up...lol just give me a few mins!
Wait..what happened to Pistol Pewter??? I think the smoky brown doesn't go with your floors as well as the pistol pewter did. But I love the blue.
:) Mel
Can you mock up this blue with the pistol pewter?
The hall way gets a lot of light....so I am not worried about, how dark it is, it opens in to my open living room and dinning room.,
I love the turret wall, but I think that Great smokey brown is a bit too dark especially for your hallway.
Thanks, but I think I might have found my combo! OMG It cant be ture .. I have made up my mind with almost 6 hours before I was supposed to! YAY FOR ME
It is a really nice blue.
If you still want a steamship sample, I will scan it for you too.
Sorry the one I posted was with Blue Turet! I think I really like that combo!
but that is not Steamship. Way too dark. The third pic in Stylegirl's progress thread is a much lighter shade.
Here is the mock up of steamship white PC and Great Smokey Brown....
Thoughts?
I bumped up the picture's of stylegirl's bedroom so you can "borrow" the Steamship White for your mock up. Check out her third picture in the Progress Pics thread.
colour chip. Newbie can do one of Steamship.
Please do post a pic of the colour chip that would be great! I used to the doper tool to grab pistol pewter from a pic posted on here. I couldnt find there chips on line anywhere. Its seems to work pretty well to do it that way.
Did you try a mockup with the Steamship White? I can post a pic of the color chip if you want.
