Hey Ladies,
Just wanted to know if any of you have booked vacation packages online? My mom and I are thinking about an all inclusive deal in March (read cheap and hot with free booze)...and I've found some really good deals online...but am nervous about booking them. I have no idea if the sites I've visited are trustworthy ones or not. Do any of you have any experience this? What sites are good ones? Or..is a travel agent my best bet?
Thanks,
Mel

Just a word of caution -- if the travel agent you're booking with through the internet is not located in your province, your purchase may not be insured. In Ontario, all local travel agents have to be members of the Travel Industry Council of Ontario, a self-governing body. If you book through a TICO agent and the agent or the wholesaler goes bankrupt, TICO gives you your money back. But if you book online through an out-of-province or out-of-country retailer, you have no such protection. I think it works similarly in other provinces. If you're doing it last-minute, your risks are obviously lower.

I've booked from selloffvacations.com before - it's good and reliable, but make sure to research the resort on tripadvisor.com or similar before booking!
try priceline.com...good deals and reliable.
