hi all, I have an orchid in my house that I think I might have destroyed! I thought I had read somewhere that when it's done flowering you cut it back to about 2" high; well I did that a couple of months ago & nothings happening; can anyone help me or have I ruined it?? thanks!!

I asked my SIL (hortoculturist) what to do.....
Not knowing exactly the type of orchid you have, she said that most orchids have a 'spike' where the flower grows off of. This is where you snip it. She said that there is still hope, don't give up. She suggested a regular house plant fertilizer and placing the pot in a larger tray, filled with pea gravel; keep moisture below the gravel and make sure its in a full light - (not sun) spot.
