i'm planning to plant several varieties of ornamental grasses at the end of our front lawn to form a hedge and add visual interest. is anyone familiar with bluestem nursery, they're in christina lake, bc http://www.bluestem.ca/miscanthus.htm they have an impressive website, but i'm wondering if anyone has done business with them. i've done lots of plant mail ordering in the past and haven't always been pleased with the quality.

It might be off the stands already. I got my copy at the local library. Try there, worth the read.

I don't have the info for you, but I wanted to add that the Spring 2007 edition of Gardening Life featured ornamental grasses. The front cover has a photo of it mixed with purple russian sage, easy to spot the mag.
It inspired me to want to plant grass in my front walkway too, once the weather warms up.
