But a sandbox will be a hit for a long time, and you can replace baby swings with regular swings for bigger kids. I bought second hand Little Tykes slide/climber that I can now pass on to my nephew to get her through the toddler stage. Now we're getting her a regular swing/slide/climber. We aren't as ambitious as you! Good luck luv2style!
I have two, and they grow out of toddler play stuff so quickly! Unless you have a pack of toddlers or a lot of kids, I would wait and invest the money in a playground they can use throughout childhood. Sorry if this is unwanted advice!!
This site has a couple of ideas for building some of the playground items. Hope it helps...
