Hi there,
I'm new to these forums and I hope that they are nice and busy, because I love to talk house!
My husband and I just bought our FIRST new home, WOOHOO. BUT...I am finding myself fantasizing about it every waking minute and all of the things I can do with it. I'm getting over zealous and wanting to spend more money than we have.
It's a new house so it has nice finishes and doesn't need any reno's (other than the basement) but there are some upgrades I'd like to do to make it even better and I'm just feeling very overwhelmed with wanting to do it all at once! I've never had a home, so now I feel so much pressure to keep it up-to-date and as nice as possible, so people admire it and possibly want to buy it in the future if we sell...
I shouldn't care about this stuff, I should just enjoy it.....even though we're not even living in it yet.
Anyone been in a similar situation?? How can I just chill out?!

Then slowly decide what all you need in it. Take it step by step. Your house needs to speak of who you are so do it your way.
It's really nice to have a home you can call your own. It is where you can build all your dream for your family especially for your children, if you have some. It's where they'll grow up and learn more about life. What your feeling right now of having a new home is just normal. You are excited and you're doing the right thing to just enjoy it! It's a good start for you and your husband and your family as well. Bring fun and unforgettable memories in your new home!

Yeah, that's a great site, and bings up a good point on how to chill out. Take your mind off things and surf the web. I was in the same situation awhile back and ended up find my dream flooring at http://millcreekcarpet.com/ online at a great price. They were local in Oklahoma for me, but I'm sure there are great options near you too.
