Paint advice

I've tired of my orange room already. For those of you feeling compelled to say "I told you so", well...thanks for not being there to hold me down and spank me!
I think I most certainly ruined my cottage with this colour, so now it is time to change it.
I need suggestions. No blues and definitely no dark colours.

I must confess I wanted to bubblegum it up, but when I was reaching for the Barbie, DH hit me over the head with it!!

The prints are from Walmart!! My fabuluous Walmart. Should I not be shouting that ?

.......yes, I was such a holy little terror that it almost hit all 21 piers coming to dock in Halifax!!! I'm glad I make someone smile!!!!

Off, or on, if you will, the top of my head, I don't know the paint colour or number, but I could try and scratch off some dried paint from the can and let you know.
I love the colour, just not in this house.

I'd hate to put my girls away, but they're not very beachy are they? A picture of a frail Elise on a boat is much more appropriate.

........as an added accessory I think you should take down the pictures of those international looking girls and put up a picture of the ship which carried me to Canada, the "Olympia"!!! It would be very appropriate in your shippy, beachy, anchory, immigrants playing with sea shells theme!!!!

I think you are right, I got a bit carried away with the mothership beeping down steamship. I have looked it up now, and I'm finding it a bit too turquoise, I will take your suggestion and look at one down, that might be a better fit for me, thanks!!

Thanks for the link!
I'm tempted to try Paint Cafe for this room, as the essence of Sara apparently comes with steamship white.

Thank you foxxy for remembering. Perhaps you'll also remember that there are limits to what I can do in this house as it is not mine.

Reno:
I looooooooooove wainscotting but not for this room, the walls are far too short for this I'm afraid, so Sara will unfortunately only be visible through the paint and decor.

I liked your idea of the wainscotting too. Aan has always said she wanted beachy/cottagey like Sarah R. does. OOps she has changed up her mind. oh well that idea got shot all to he__ again and in caps.

I can live with Steamship White in your room. I am less certain about the coral. So girly. But then again, it would create a nice elegant glow on your face while you recline in a ladylike fashion, sipping tea.

If you could pop in for a cup of tea just to confirm that would be great. Steamship white it is! The One has spoken.

You know I can't move an inch before she has spoken.

I am as usual for all white, I do like the idea of pulling a colour from the pictures as well. Concerned green will be too pouty after a while, although I do like the pail Sarah-style green one in accent pieces....
Still undecided....

A nice, subtle, watery green?

I liked my kitchen when it was orange, by the way. Of course, I don't live in a cottage by the ocean, so orange makes sense! :D
