I am painting our master bathroom today when I get home from work. The colour will be BM Dunmore Cream.
The ceiling right now is plain white, and 9" high. The bathroom is pretty small, and the trim and door are white. Should I paint the ceiling the same colour as the walls, or just leave it white?

PS If it will help, I can always post a picture when I get home. The picture won't show much though, since the room is so small!

Yes do post the finished pics we are always interested in finished rooms. Glad you made the choice and are happy with it. Now on to the next project.
Well, the room is done, and I did end up painting the ceiling. Thanks for all of the advice from everyone!
I used the exact same colour as on the walls (didn't dilute at all) and it looks a lot more "finished" than it did with just white ceilings.
Once I have pictures and accessories up I will post pictures if anyone is interested! Of course, the room will look better when the entire bedroom is also done...but for now, on to bathroom number 2!

I would paint the ceiling. I have just finished repainting our small bathroom, and it looked strange with the white ceiling but no crown moulding. Now with the ceiling and walls the same colour, it looks bigger and more complete. I painted with BM C-02 Pale Almond.
Painting the ceiling with BM is easy as it doesn't splatter. I threw a drop sheet on the floor, and as I moved along I draped it over the loo and bath. Very easy and a small bathroom doesn't take long to do.
I would dilute it as well and go a couple of tones lighter then the walls.
When there's no crown moulding to create a clear definition between the ceiling and the walls, I think that a white celing tends to look unfinished when paired with mid-tone or dark walls....like someone painted the walls but forgot the ceiling. I'd paint it a few shades lighter than what's on your walls, though.
Thanks! I think I may use it in the guest bathroom, too. I certainly have enough left over, and it matches the shower curtain perfectly.
I like the ceilings white.
Love the paint colour you chose for the walls-looks great!
Thanks for the advice, all. I finished the first coat, and left the ceiling white for now, because I can always paint it before I finish the room completely.
Here are a couple of pictures of the finished first coat. As you can see, the name Dunmore Cream is rather misleading - the colour is quite dark for a "cream". So, check these out and let me know what you think about the ceiling.
As I mentioned before, the bathroom is quite small. It was kind of awkward taking the pictures because I couldn't really get a decent shot. I hope you can get the general idea from these:
If the white ceiling isn't all that much different from the wall colour I would leave it alone for one reason only...painting ceilings is a real pain, literally. After doing it a few times, I have to really want the colour or want the effect because you neck, arms and back get a real workout. You also have to protect the floor, furniture, your hair etc. and so on which is a lot of work compared to doing just the walls.
you have 9'ceilings - lucky you! Do you want to lie in the tub and look up forever? I would paint the ceiling white. Your cream does not sound too dark, so it will be a subtle difference, but a difference just the same.
That's exactly what I was thinking. Any more opinions? I am going to buy the paint right now and I can't decide what to do!
Painting the ceiling the same colour might give the illusion of more height in the room.
