Paint color help

Our house is all the same color (butter), and is in need of attention. Can anyone suggest some colors for the following areas (as a start):

Foyer: smallish, slate tile floor, gorgeous cherry color front door, white trim

Kitchen: cherry cabinets, fir plank floor, uba tuba granite counters, stainless appliances

the enitre house is "open" concept, so if you have some additional comments or suggestions to painting the dining room and tv/family room (visible from everywhere) I'd sure appreciate it.

thanks for any input
rob

I have just painted my my entire first floor with different shades of gray and they look awesome. The gray on the walls looks really nice with dark chocolate furnishings and hardwood floors.

The 4 colors on the right will be work with your material palette and should be a nice change to Buttery Yellow !

Hello woodrb,

Like I said in another comment, I just painted a large, bright principal bedroom in CIL's Antique White, and I absolutely love it. It's white, but really warm, perfect for large open-concept areas.

Good luck with the paint choices!

I am thinking grey.  I can not suggest any names but I think that would go with the grey slate, the wood flooring and the cherry cabinets.  Maybe someone else can suggest a grey or word search in the forum using the word 'grey'.
