So we've redeveloped our basement area due to flooding and have decided to build a home theater area that is divided from the rest of the basement. However, the two flow into each other with rounded corners etc so we would like to have a common color for the entire area.
The basement is lit with two smaller windows and the ceiling is only 8 feet high. We are putting in cork flooring which is a mid tone brown in color.(http://www.europlex.ca/sites/default/files/imagecache/lightbox_large_450...)
What do you suggest for wall colors? I've included a photo of the drywalled area and I'm getting the flooring in next week sometime so I am hoping to paint soon.

Anything with neutral tones would work with the cork flooring.
Hello an_edmonton_guy,
Personally, I love basements painted white (try Benjamin Moore's Cloud White or CIL's Antique White) because they seem bright, fresh, and unlike a basement.
Take a look at these two bright basements for inspiration:

And I think white walls would pair nicely with your brown cork, too! Good choice on the flooring! Eco-friendly and mildew-friendly for basements!
