Can you paint a boring, blank cork board? And if yes, is there any prep? Do you have to prime the cork?

I have painted many a cork bulletin board to customize them for gifts. Very easy to do - I first spray painted them with a base color and then just used craft paint for what ever design I wanted. Looks great after and a very cheap project :-)

I spoke with one of our Design Editors who has done a project like this before. There is no need to prime the cork. It may soak some of the paint, so more coates will likely be required.

Good luck!
