ADVICE NEEDED!! I am planning on painting my kitchen table. It is actually an old dining room table, all wood with a mahogany finish. Do I have to take all the finish off or can I just prime and paint it? I want to go to a dark espresso/black finish. I want this to be hardwearing ... what do I put over the paint ... a poly or varnish? HELP I would like to get started this weekend!
