Has anyone mastered the technique of using a sponge roller with a brush, when painting with oil paint? I understand that the professionals use the sponge roller, then tap out the bubbles that are left on the surface, using a brush. Is it a dry brush, or does it have paint on it? If it is a dry brush, do you have to keep wiping it clean, so it stays that way? Got some cupboards to do, already oil paint on them, so have to use oil - actually, I have found oil paint to be really great to work with, when using a brush, but I'm a little apprehensive about painting larger surfaces. Help?
