Lurking beneath the soil where Nelly Moser will soon reside I found this nasty concrete chunk with an old corner post bit, obviously buried instead of discarded when previous owners replaced the fence. I don't know how we missed it when we removed a gigantic stump that was left right beside it. I did the archaelogical digging, and DH is doing the sledgehammer. Oh well, it is said that clematis beds should be dug 18x18x18........no problem as we've had to go 2 feet deep to get this nasty out.
I guess it will be a day's delay before Nelly gets to move in!
