I wanted my tray-table that Ikea has refused to award me, so I will get one from somewhere, to go in the corner between sofas. I need a coffee table, still not sure of the size of the kolsvik from Ikea, the small one.
I think I will get another side table too, not a big fan of table tables, so I will look for something that can pose as one.
For some reason, I really want ores too! :D Need a place for them. Ther is quite a bit of wall space to cover...

That sounds good. Are you planning a pedestal coffee table or side table in the room? I just think one would fit so nicely.

Not sure, yet...I was contemplating a shelving thing, floating, with "stuff" on. Any ideas?
The green chair will eventually become my bedside table :D

Your white couches are still the top of the heap this am, I see. Very good! I don't see any naked ladies in the pictures you posted however...did you take them down first?

I think that makes for a very personal and endearing home, no joking!!!

I value the opinion of the greeks, after all, how many times can you step in to the same river!
But, if you care, I will let you know that we have our own art on the walls. DH is getting sick of my naked women, but so be it.

You must have alot of stick people art all over your house then!! I love Constance's prints too!!! Greeks have such good taste!!!

I love those!!!!!
That's what I like!! :)

I was going to reply to mmmccormi that I think I'll pull out my camera again and take my own beachy photos, using the stone ones as inspiration. I like the stones, but I like pictures to be more washed out and white in tone :D surprise...

But I really like the ones you posted Constance, I could stomach having those in my house :D
Have a thing for not having other people's art on my own walls :D

The pic mmccormi posted of the art is gorgeous! Love it...

well....I have NEVER heard Dh say anything about any of the pics I've shown him. This morning I get "wow- the white couches look nice-eh?". So my dear friend -listen for the doorbell....I'm shipping him to you:D This fascination with you has gone far enough!:D:D;)

If you want to make an empire you have to get them working young! I imagine next year she should be ready to go work at the factory!
Cute little DD running around the beach looking for shells :D :D
Too cute!

Didn't mean to sound offended, sorry, not enough :) in the post :D

I just really don't care much for LR :D please read this in a whisper :D

I truly don't mind advice,so don't be scared to continue in the future :D

These pictures were more to smooth over my whining for lack of furniture in the last few months :D

Nice day job for DD eh :D Roaming the beaches for my shells :D
I only have one beach, well, only one I intend to set foot on that is, the more help I can get the better :D

Is the scrap-booking coming along? Or are you stuck on page1? ;)

There's a problem, I don't care for LR :D
My prints are staying, they are too high in the picture, since then I have lowered the white ones. Nor am I moving the loveseat and it does not look crowded.
As for the draperies, they are extremely wide and covers the window very well, they are just very much "tucked in" in the picture.

I completely agree, it is not the same to buy these beachy things from stores. When the weather warms up I intend to go to the beach and keep a close eye out for shells etc. I don't think SR would buy them either :D
Loved your shells, gorgeous :) Exactly what I'll be looking for too!

Dawn, I like that poster from Ikea, I know it is pretty large too, it might work, something to keep in mind for sure.
I know it is hard to see in the pics but the bowl on the mantle is filled with stones :) I do need more beachy stuff though.
I really like Elises idea of putting two large antique white candelabras (sp) on either side of a mirror. I think I saw some nice ones at Bowring.
When I get the coffee table and chairs for my dining area it'll all come together and then I'll start accessorizing for real.
Thanks guys :)
Unfortunately the lantern I have I think is too small to work well in the corner...

....that a glass hurricane with sea shells on the bottom and a pillar candle would figure nicely on the fireplace or on a coffee table.

I don't do glass, bad Dreamer.

people without children or pets (other than named spiders) can make those types of choices. Sigh. You could have glass coffee tables too, I suppose....no fingerprints, just spider slobber.

I think Kosvik will be great, especially with the white rug...it will add a little weight to the room.

and get to paint my dining table greyish-blue, I could potentially paint the coffee table, since sisal is leaving this area soon, black might not look so bad.
I agree the fireplace works in my favour, just have a more traditional taste in FP's I guess, would have preferred something else :)
I bought a lantern that I think I'll try to hang in the window, might look nice. Shadow boxes with sand...Good idea :)

tv is going in basement, too ugly :D
and kolsvik coffee table...too much black, you think? Can't find anything else I like.

June, I think if I move the picture over I definitely need to get a larger frame, would look funny if I didn't....
FP is ok....just don'tl like the wood on it, or the stone either, hehe, but, what can you do. I am not touching it.

The sisal is actually from Wicker Emporium, but I like the Ikea one better. I think this one is too dark, but I will eventually move it to go under dining table...getting white fluffy rug for sofa area :)

Luv2, they have a white, oversized mirror at Walmart of all places, not too crazy about the frame on it, but it is kind of beachy, and cheap too..I might still get that one...
I need something to cover my second doorway where the dining table is, so I've been holding off on the mirror in case I have to get a larger one to go there...if that makes sense.
Oh,and the wall colour is definitely beachy, it just doesn't come out right on my monitor....

I plan on doing like she does, put seashells etc in frames instead of in bowls etc. Just haven't gotten to it yet, and yes, I am thinking a shelf thing might work, but I am wondering about the dead area by the green chair for that.

Will also get the Kolsvik for coffee table and TV is going soon, freeing up some space. And I wanted to find some old ores too :) Etc etc.
Please, do go on, I love talking about me :D

over my dead dressed in a white suit body :D
Unless, you don't mind me keeping him in the basement. He can play with the spiders.
Landy is happy, he is finally beginning to trust we actually do have money :D

Good observing... we see Landy's house and our vantage point at the window!

Do you think she will let us in if we stand with our noses pressed to the glass?

Maybe if we bring something beachy? Water wings, for example.

when are you available for babysitting? I promise DS won't ruin anything white:D

someone has been VERY busy:D Landy must be happy now when he cuts your grass...you realize with the open view to the house next door there is terrific potential for stalking now:D

Seriously, it looks great! I'm thrilled for you:D Have you thought about how you are going to get that big spot out of the loveseat? I tlooks huge from here...:(;)
