I keep saying that I will post them then don't.. This is what I have been doing with my free time!

The retarded tree the builder planted for us... My brother is a Horticulturist (sp) he is going to make it beutiful. He said it wasnt' a lost cause..

This is the perenial garden around the tree. We still need to put the rest of the sod in the front.

Back Yard the three Swedish Columnar Aspen trees. To block the view from the neibours who over look us.

That's a good start, oreokitty :) Just wait till a few years from now when you're perennials are big and your tree is benfitting from a good pruning!! Although it doesn't look TOO retarded :) Your square planter is really nice, by the way :)

If you haven't laid the rest of the sod yet, here's a tip (I've given it before, but in case you missed it....) spread some grass seed before you lay the sod. It'll help fill in any gaps, and you'll have a green, lush lawn really fast. And water the sod a LOT, preferably early in the morning before it gets too hot.

Looks like you're off to a great start! I'm sure the builder tree will be great with a bit of your brother's help. I have no clue about tree pruning, but likely all it needs is a snip or two to in the right places lead it into glory. I leave all our pruning to my father-in-law, who has years of experience with his own trees.
