are both almost same thing. Wave I think give more blooms. It is a good idea to deadhead most flowers before seed pods form as it produces more blooms.
Im just curious about your wave petunias, I have lots in the baskets but don't remember wave petunias or do you mean cascading? Your garden is going to look very nice with all the colours. I wanted lots of blue this summer but eventually mixed other colour in too. It's really growing fast.
I bought annuals to fill in all the gaps in the large garden bed in front of my house. I got a flat of petunias, and another flat's worth of alyssum in white and purple, impatients, and one geranium. I got all colours: reds, purples, pinks, salmon. Should be nice and colourful! I also added another dahlia (didn't dig out the ones that I planted last year and they are back, so I got another), a new rhodo, a peony and some white lilies.
Last year I got the Wave petunias, and they worked out great. I'm a little nervous about the non-wave ones. Will I have to deadhead them? I don't remember doing that with the waves.
I've grown the tall yellow petunias, they're much hardier than the rest. Your flowers sound beautiful! good luck with them.
dark pink cascade wave petunias + tall yellow petunias + a tall spikey thingy all in large pots on deck.
Impatiens around hostas and ferns. Pansies and lobelia in other pots with ivy trailing stuff that I hang. The ivy trailing stuff came from the house that I kept from last summer.
Also moved some hostas and ferns and bought some yellow leaved hosta and a lime green ground cover.
Also planted 4 new rose bushes (old english type rose)
Love to garden.
You're so lucky!!! now you can just sit back and reap the rewards. Did you plant alot of annuals, and if yes what kind?
