ok, i've asked this question on countless forums, i hope someone out there can help me.... i've seen many many ideas and instructions for making a great headboard, but what about the bed?? i can't seem to purchase one, the art shoppe told me quite clearly - there's no money in it. they are so simple, just make it yourself. well, i'm not without a few power tools, and i can even use a mitre saw... but i'd like to see some pics, or get some direction, ideas for best type of wood... anything! anybody have any ideas??? crossing my fingers in aurora.....

Debbie Travis made one on her show "the painted house" some time back - have you tried searching her website? Or emailing the website to see if they might have the instructions onlien somewhere. Another place to try is Ty's website (ty from Trading Spaces) - he built one and has instructions that you can purchase from his site. Here's the link.
