Well, after the original respiratory infection, a snowstorm, a car malfunction, and the cat not fasting (she ate the damn dog food) we didn't think that getting Princess spayed was EVER going to happen. But yesterday, DH loaded her into the car and she finally passed the pre-examination bloodwork, etc...and is now spayed. GOOD GOD!! I guess the fifth time is a charm eh?
She's quite tired and still seems to be a little light-headed, which I guess is normal. On the note that DH brought home with Post-op procedures it says to bring her back for a re-check in 3 days and then to return again in 10-14 days to have the sutures removed. Is this a normal time frame? It seems like a long time to try and keep this cat indoors and from jumping and running. I mean, I locked her in the playroom for last night and figured I'd keep her in there for a couple of days..but 2 weeks?
I've never had a female cat before (all males) but I know when I had my female dog spayed, it seems like there was a much shorter recovery time. I'm waiting fot the vet to open so I can call and get the specifics..but I just figured maybe someone on here may have had the same experience.
