My husband and I are looking into purchasing a new kitchen table with chairs. I want to get away from the traditional styles. I would like to know where I could find the pub style kitchen set? Where the table is higher, I have see the square ones I am looking for a rectangular shape which could seat 6-8 people.

years ago my dh and i couldn't find a set of chairs we could agree on . he insisted on high quality wood which was very comfortable . 2 years later we still didn't agree and i was desperate . so , one day he said , why can't you find nice chairs like at the bar ? you can sit there comfortable for hours ! [ comfort due to beer consumption?]next day i went to a restaurant supplier new/used and begged him to sell me six chairs . voila $30 each used, heavy reinforced and didn't flip over when the kids stood up like our previous ones . perhaps you could look into this area, new or used . some bars have beautiful furniture and sooo many restaurants/bars go out of business each year

saw one at ''Home Furniture''..it's a furniture store owned by home hardware...it's in their catalogue i believe...i hadn't heard of ''Home Furniture" until i moved to my small town and apparently that's were you find these stores...where are you located and i'll let you know if they have one in your area or near you
