I am the lucky one who has the ambition to take on this task, but each year I wish DH would do it JUST ONCE!
Also, I had to get new light strings this year, and they are packaged so well that I must snap out each bulb from it's holding spot inside the package.
I have 5 or 6 packages to unleash and get on the tree.
I've only done 3 strings so far, and already I have torn the disposable gloves just getting them loose from the package. (none of that tree sap stuff is getting on me this year-planned ahead for a change!)
Rant over. Feel much better now!
It should be interesting to see how the tree turns out tomorrow when the kids decorate it with me. I'm behind schedule-planned to have that done by today but we fell behind. So far it's looking like the tree is quite tilted, so we'll aim the top for the corner in case it decides to tip over. It's also very bare at the bottom-we took a chance and bought a string-wrapped tree without inspecting it first. No worries though, as my son always hangs way too many at the bottom of the tree. At least there is a ton of room for them there this year!
