Thank you for your suggestions. I don't have the color chips but will go and pick them up. You mentioned that they are quite dark. I'm not sure that I want a really dark red but I'll check them out.
I also just realized that I posted on the wrong forum. I'll try again on D&D. Perhaps I'll get a few more recommendations.
I would suggest a rust red, only because I have Vellum on my living room walls too! I have narrowed down my reds to 2 chips, which I intend painting the entrance/mudroom with, but haven't done it yet. They are BM CC-122 Boxcar Red or 2092-30 Boston Brick.They are quite dark, but I am painting a small area with lots of windows all around. Good luck.
