Red Washer/Dryer - What colour of tile should I use!?!

ecochic's picture

I am currently renovating my laundry room and have absolutely NO idea what colour of tile to use. My house is somewhat modern/contemporary and I would like the laundry room to look the same.

I have the RED LG WASHER/DRYER and can't figure out what colour of tile looks best - GREY? BEIGE? WHITE?

Any suggestions?!

hello all,
Wow, what a great color for your washer and drier!

I think I would go with beige floors or even black if you want the modern look. It may show the dust more however.

You will have to post some pics when you are done!

I still like the utilitarian look of the Martha Stewart laundry rooms she creates.

Tans, light blues & white.
Simple touches of wood and natural stone.

Not too fancy or glamourous.

Basically, that describes her and the rest of her furnishings !

It may be more retro, but what about black and white tiles? Seems to me a nice bright red set with black and white tiles would be really fun, sort of diner/wash o'matic.

& instead of putting in a wine bar and/or fridge - you could put in a JUKEBOX !!!

Thanks for the suggestions!!

I am going to go tile shopping tonight and have decided to go with either the charcoal grey or the white...

I think it will look nice with the red/grey contrast ... will post pics once it is finished!

To paraphrase Sarah Richardson - does RED washer/dryer speed up the laundry process ?

-like firetrucks

personally, I like tan colours with reds and/or khaki accents

I really love the idea of having a Red washer, that's great!..

For answering your question, The three colors are great, I like the combination of red and grey but it is more serious than the combination of red and white. red and white is more lighty and reflects energy...

I recomend you that imagine yourself in your loundry with every posible combination and choose one, the one that meke you happy...

Have a nice day.

Good Luck!
