I just saw Restaurant Makeover! I LOVED the transformation. I think that women is off her rocker!

I would never have gone into her restaurant before, but after your makeover I sure would have. It looked great - I LOVED those chairs and the colours were so inviting. Great job!

And never have I been so disgusted by the state of a restaurant! How was that place not condemned??????

Anyhow - it was great seeing your show and I loved the makeover! :)

uses the word proverbial too much.
I think her e-bay thesaurus only went as far as P.

(or several), but aren't the owners of the restaurants getting two things from being on the show: advertisng and a vast discount on professional design services and renovations? In exchange for these bargains, the owners give up control of the precise nature of the renovations, but they do so knowingly.

I am therefore short on sympathy for the owner of Grapefruit Moon. Any person who wants to dictate the changes, does not need to participate in the program, which is, after all, not a charitable endeavour to advance the interests of struggling restuarant owners!

Those who wish to control the outcome can do as is usually done by struggling restaurant owners and other business people - pay the going rate for both advertising and design. As for the owner of the Grapefruit Moon, she is looking the proverbial gift horse in the mouth - and I hope she gets bit!

"Oh it will be so hard to keep clean", why do I have a feeling she meant "Oh now the dirt that has been there all along will be so easy to see"?

Red, I liked the way the place screamed "FRESH" after your renovation! The look suits the name perfectly. You took it from dive to dynamite. Now, if that woman would only sell the place and take her weasely cook with her, it may have some success!

By the way, I agree that you looked fabulous. I totally approve of the lipstick- and black- shirt- barely- on look!

when Bistro 999 was closed down due to, some, eh, infestation problems, and that used to be THE hotspot. My favourite restaurant still has a couple of house guests in the basement, as long as the olives in my angel hair IS olives, I don't care...

Red, I bet the show was great!!! Now send me the tape!!!!

Ugh! Poor you, Red, for being in there!

I'm truly stunned that the place wasn't shut down! She has no business have such a nice restaurant that you gave her. I'd hate to see it now! I bit she's completely let it go.

You won't believe it! I truly don't understand how she wasn't shut down. I can't believe how GROSS her restaurant was (before the makeover, obviously!) And that's just based on what you CAN see! Ewwwwwwww!
