What would be the best and easiest way to refinish a children's dresser.
It is a red color with a lacquer coating, I want to finish it in an espressor color.
Sanding is so messy because I have to do this on an appartment balconey. The dresser is in good shape but I just want to change the color.
Thanks for your help.

bin primer doesn't require sanding. You should wash with a TSP solution first to remove dirt and grease. Bin has a website with instructions. I think the shellac primer goes over anything, don't know if the latex primer will go over lacquer.

I think that BIN primer will adhere to most surfaces, so long as they're well cleaned, without having to sand first. Check the labels, I'm sure the one I used had a blue label and said "no sanding" somewhere in the instructions. Good luck :D
