Have any of you family members or friends who are stationed in the Middle East at this time?
I have been thinking of the many soldiers, the medical volunteers and the aid volunteers who are spending this sober day over there, finding themselves existing in volatile situations, in daily danger and missing friends and family.
Kind of putsour decorating dilemmas into a rather frivolous context.
There are many refugee camps in Afghanistan where people are facing a harsh cold winter in makeshift living spaces, with little food and heat let alone a problematic kitchen or living room makeover.
I feel so fortunate to be living here in Canada, and am sure we are certainly more rich than our wildest imaginings. And i am so glad that my son is here, safe within the bosom of his family and not on patrol in a foreign country where the citizens wished them to not be there.
