Yes it's interesting to get a new appreciation for things like the aqua bathtub that was in my last house or the painted pink one that was in this one...

What I want to know is in the video they have of 'tomorrow's kitchen' the ovens have french doors. Now that seems like a good idea to me. I wonder what happened to them. It also struck me how well they used space. This house had things like a fold out ironing board between some studs in the kitchen, but someone ripped it out. If we had held onto that kind of thinking we may not need the huge houses as badly these days.

One other thing they did was feature the TV...rooms set up for watching (which is actually what people acknowledged doing) and TV's in cabinets so they looked like they belonged vs the fights we go through now just trying to get them to fit and pretending we don't actually have one.

Our 1st apartment had green bathroom fixtures with pink tiles & green fridge &stove:eek:We thought they were really nice. My 1st washer & dryer was harvest gold,very in at the time...I rememder painting our bar fridge red..had alot of compliments on that fridge:laugh: My parents bought me that hi fi for my 16th birthday...that was 48 yrs ago:eek:
