I cook my rice just like I cook pasta. It never comes out sticky. I make it, rinse it and heat it up in the microwave just to warm it up a bit before serving
A rice cookeer is worth every penny! You can pick one up for less that 20.00.
Don't think twice just do it!
You'll thank me!
Try using Uncle Ben's Long grain rice and just follow the directions.......I think it is 1 cup rice : 2-1/2 cups of liquid.......when the liquid is almost absorbed turn off the heat and put on a lid. In 35 - 40 minutes perfect rice!!!! No rice cooker needed!!
do you make/eat rice often? if you do, it might be worth it to buy a rice cooker. they are very easy to use and you don't have to watch anything on the stove - it'll stop cooking on its own. if you buy one though, go to an asian store/market as these are the absolute best for making perfect rice (you can even make pilafs too)
