Hi Nixx,
I agree with DYtecture. Since you have an open concept, you probably don't want to add another paint colour to the walls:)
Hi Nixx, a large mirror would reflect the light from the living room as well. I don't think painting the walls a different color is a good idea in your open living/dining space.
Your place is looking great Nixx. I can see a couple of dark wicker or dark bamboo type chairs (a.k.a. Pier One) as your other 2 for the table. I think a large mirror would add to the glam factor you already have going on in the dining room. I would move the picture you painted to the center (same wall - just move it down) of the dining table and get something else (perhaps a round mirror or a star burst mirror or metal work) for the space by the sofa/fireplace. I do not see a problem painting out one wall in a darker shade at all. Go for it!
The latest pics of the living dining room. I'd still like two chairs for the heads of the dining table. But I'm starting to run out of creative and nice looking ideas for what to do with the dining walls. I think I'd like a nice large ornate mirror on the wall with the doorway to the kitchen also to reflect back the light coming through the living room window. i also think I might need another big piece of art beside the canvas that I painted myself. Floating shelf? Console? Still not sure what to do but that area still looks bare. I used BM revere pewter on the walls but I still feel like the room doesnt have that grey look i was going for on the walls. Would it be dumb to paint one of those walls a diff. shade grey or a dark grey?
Feedback and lots of feedback welcome!! Thanks so much.
Nixx
