I was in the grocery store a few weeks ago and flipped open a decorating magazine and saw a picture of a kitchen that I totally loved. I have been thinking about it ever since. I went back to the same store and combed through all of the magazines, and tried a few other stores as well - no luck of course!
I will try to describe as much as I remember and if you have the magazine and can tell me the title and issue that would be great. If you have a similar pic I would love to see it as well.
I think it was in one of those "Better Home and Gardens" magazines that are more expensive, like $12.99 (which is why I didn't buy it - kicking myself now). The picture I am thinking of showed an older house with a new what the magazine called "country" kitchen. The part that really stood out for me was that the window frames were stained a dark colour, kitchen cabinets were white, with black (or dark?) countertops, black hardware and a backsplash of a buttery yellow or pale green glass subway tile. I would have never chosen to darkly stain the window frames in a mostly white kitchen, but it looked so sharp.
If you can help me in my quest to find this picture, or have a similar one to share, please let me know.
