Hello everyone. As much as I hate to say it, summer is over and its time to start digging up plants and take cutting from those we want to keep for next spring. Today I dug up my Calla Lilly and put them in pots, I hope to keep them growing over the winter.

Question?
Has anyone notice seed pods on their Calla Lilly? and Has anyone tried to grow new plants from them. I dug up a plant from my sister's place today and it had alot of seeds on it. This plant had lovely purple flowers, so if I could get more plants from seeds it would be great.

all plants have some kind of seed pod. I would try it as you have nothing to lose. Let the pod dry and seeds pop out as it would do in nature and then try and germinate in wet papertowel. If it germinates then plant in soil. If they seeds have tough outside covering then nick it with a knife to show the nut inside. Good luck and let us know.
