i love magnolia trees...yours is beautiful! my DH was very insistant that we get one for the back yard but that involved removing an old stump...which he never got to so hence we have no magnolia :(

we were planning on 3 trees across the back of the backyard but only managed to get in a dogwood and redbud which are actually doing quite well, nothing even close to leaves yet but i did see some new growth on the dogwood

as far as blooms...i've got nothing but green tips barely breaking the surface, except for some really resilient wild columbines which seem to invade every little open spot in the garden...yesterday i noticed a few with about 3 inches of growth

as far as weather, looks like snow and cold for Toronto this easter :(

Nope, not a leaf, not a bud ready to open, nothing. I do see the tips of my bulbs coming up, but they are sooo slooow. The squirrels are eating them faster than they can grow. :D

Oh to have some spring flowers. It must be heaven....Calgary is shovelling again...still.. I swear I have never seen a winter with so much stupid snow here before. I am so sick of shovelling week after week (truth be told I am considering just leaving the stuff as it's supposed to be 17 by the weekend again...wonder if I can get away with it).

Now that's COLD. Here I was complaining with our 9-10 degree days that are cold due to the wind!
