Gee, look what I got....a brand new walk, new curb, and patch of new pavement. To complete this look, some new sod which they (the city) finally laid yesterday (this process has been going on at least a couple of weeks now).
Anyway that front part of the lawn is pretty dead looking thanks to the abuse it's had to go through (see the dirt they just threw around for some reason) but you get the idea. Around the boulevard, along both sides of the walks along the entire front and part way up my walk, the sod is totally different from the existing grass. It makes a stunning border if you like that sort of two tone thing but I don't.
Does anyone know what the chances are of it eventually blending in? Should I start asking for ideas for border plantings before it takes root and just pull the stuff? You can't see it well in the picture, but where my front lawn by the house is, is still quite alive and green but it's a totally different green and texture than the sod. The picture doesn't show it well I'm afraid.
