I recently bought a new dining room set and know i am having difficulty on the light fixture i just add. I have an open concept kitchen and dining room. My island has 3 amber pendants. Should the fixture in the dining room match the island pendants. please help. thanks.

If you have multiple slim pendants over the island you might want to go for a single fixture over the dining room table, such as a round drum shade or a gold fixture/lantern. I do not think they have to match exactly at all. As long as they compliment each other, it shoud be fine. ie - same colour of finish or metal, both have amber shades, they are both very modern/or sleek/ or art deco, etc.
Do you have a picture of the island pendants and the one you are thinking of installing?
