Silk Drapes

celine's picture

Today I received from Restoration Hardware, silk drapes (lined in 100% cotton). Since they were shipped, they arrived very creased.

What is the best way to get the creases out??? I do have a LG Steam Dryer, can I risk putting silk drapes in it? I am scared to iron them in fear of ruining them. Their labelled "Dry Clean" only.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for all your help, I called the store and they recommended having them pressed at a dry cleaner, but I was trying to avoid the cost.

I tried a clothes steamer, but I think it was a cheap model that didnt work.

Thanks again, for the feedback. I appreciate it.

Thanks for all your help. We hung the drapes on Friday and they are still badly creased, I will try both the steam dryer and borrowing a steam clothes dryer.
