no Sarah Richardson colours...her and i don't get along...right now my front hall is CIL Contemporary White(not my choice...i can't stand it)...and my dinning room is CIL Red Maple...i'm open to all colours...bieges i think i have enough of(living room..ensuite...hallway...bedroom)..i tend to lean towards darker but not too dark colours and lively colours

I'm sure that opening it up brings in a lot more light. What colours do you like? Are you thinking watery typical sarah richardson colours or beiges or darker colours? Are you buying new furniture? what colours etc do you already have there?

i love the columns...... :clapping: very nice! i can hardly wait to see pics of it all done...........i completely understand about darkness in rooms....that is why i have a hard time painting dark colors if it darkens my rooms ( i become claustraphobic).....i need brightness, ecspecially in a small home.

you mean the family room withOUT the fireplace now...lol...well we moved the stairs into the family room down to one end instead of where it was in the middle which made it awkward to place anything in the room...the railing is going back...along the family room is 2 columns...the plan is to open it all up cuz i have a bowling alley for a hallway....3 1/2 feet wide and 56 feet long...even with the Solatubes we had installed it still made it dark and cavern like...and i don't do well without natural light...i'm using my phone to take pics i'll try and get some more pics for ya'll

the coat hook thingy came from Walmart...best purchase i've made...there's storage under the bench and lots of it and 5 hooks....i believe they still have them...i paid $129 for it...Home Hardware Furniture sells the exact same one for $300
