Hello. First time I'm cooking a whole chicken in my crock pot today. Can't wait for dinner to try it out. Just wondering if any of you have a favourite crock pot / slow cooker receipe they would like to share. Mine was: Rinse whole chicken, put some carrots, celery & onions in cavity, also some around chicken, place quarter potatoes (I used 2 med.) around chicken, salt & pepper & 5 spice, and 1/2 c. white wine. Cook on Low for 8-10 hours. ;) macy

chili all the time without the corn and just love it:

Go to Recipes > Soups & Stews > Chile > Bean and Corn Chile

with a blade roast of beef ( or similar cheaper cut) and add red wine. I thicken up the juices with a little flour. Take everything out of pot, thick with flour using whisk and then put it all back in for last 1 hour or so. It has to cook the flour some.
Spag. sauce and chili are good too. Homemade soups etc. Great thing ito own for cold weather meals.
