Hi,
I am looking for a SMALL curved sofa -- no larger than 84". Has anyone seen one anywhere? I have checked out Vic-Line (their 'Calypso' is too funky), Jaymar (their 'Jelly Beans' has too many pieces) and Deco-Rest (quite good, but it is way too large).
All advice welcome.
Thanks,
Polly

Curve sofas are a great addition to any room. They really make decorating so much easier. They go great in the living room, family room, den or office. Just make sure that you have enough space for it to fit. Measure two times maybe even three just to make sure it is going to fit.
But they are not always the easiest to find. This is especially true if you live in a smaller town, without many furniture stores. Online is a great place to find furniture.
Find out more about curved sofas online you can read at http://traans.blogspot.com/2013/01/curved-sofa.html
These sofas can be quite expensive and requires a huge investment. So be very careful in choosing this type of sofa, keeping in mind the space and structure of your living room.
Having a small sectional sofa in your small home can offer you a lot of seating in relation to the space. They can turn any room into a warm, conversational and intimate area where you can just relax or entertain friends. It is very important that you find the right size sectional sofa for your small space; a very large sectional sofa can overwhelm the small room.
When decorating and choosing furnishings for one of these smaller areas, one must be aware of proportion. A large sofa or sectional sofa will overwhelm the room's view as well as its useable space. A small sectional sofa can be made to perfectly fit and utilize the space.
One of the greatest benefits of sectional sofas is that they don't have to be big to offer you plenty versatility. The adaptability of sectional sofas enables you to be more flexible.

A sectional curved sofa for a small space probably appears to be an oxymoron. How could there possibly be a perfect meeting of the two?
Well, the honest answer is that in the right home, a sectional curved sofa could actually save you space! Centrally locating sofa pieces within a small living area not only lends to proper seating for conversation and intimacy, but could also make the space feel more spacious.
If seating in one specific spot is not to your liking, with sectional pieces you have the ability to place them however you prefer. This would lend your own personal creative touch to the living room. Small sectional sofa can be a good choice for your small home decoration. Hi,
Finally getting around to letting you know what I ended up buying: got a Palliser sofa from their ELEMENTS collection: two chairs + one wedge = one curved sofa. It is perfect. See http://www.palliser.com and have fun playing with their room-design guide!

Go to (Canada411) http://www.canada411.ca Click on "Find a Business" then type in Furniture Manufacturers...then your location. Depending on where you live, you should find several companies that make custom furniture.....
Hi there,
How does one go about getting a custom sofa? Do several manufacturers make them?

There MUST be a small curved sofa somewhere -- preferably in Canada. Furniture websites aren't especially up to date, even though their products usually are.
Any further advice, anyone?
Thanks,

Well there IS one at my home - not for sale though ;) We had it custom made...that is probably the route you will have to take to get exactly what you want....
Skalar Pepler makes them, I was in their show room not long ago and they have at lease one curved sofa. They can custom make things there as well.

Hi,
According to their website, the sofa is 87". The loveseat is smaller, but just a bit too small.
P
i so love the shape of that sofa..... :clapping: really nice!

They are used the same but look wonderful 'floating' in a room because of their gentle shaping when you see them from the back.
If I can hijack....I haven't thought much about curved sofas, is there some advantage to them? Would they be used in particular circumstance or the same as usual?
The pollock is actually fairly small - around 78" It also comes in a love seat. The cushion has 50% down in the seating is soooo comfortable. The one shown is in a brown silk- like fabric
Hi and thanks,
The Pollock is attractive, but too large and not exactly *it*. (Hmmm...maybe my dream sofa doesn't exist!) I'm looking for a style that is rather plain (that I can do up in a nice fabric), preferably without piping, and with back cushions and seat cushions.
Any other ideas?
Polly
has a lovely one called the Pollock. The back is curved and the front is curved. The seat is one cushions with seams to give it the divisions.Lots of fabrics to choose from also.
