Well, after all the recent problems that I have now experienced with logging in I am officially giving up on this Forum. I just want to thank all of you, it has been fun and it has certainly been one of the more active forums that I have been part of to date. However, it is now so much work to get in here that it has lost that appeal. I think that I am not alone as it seems many people have left this forum. So, from donnasinc......my original name.....changed due to so many problems trying to log in with that name......and from lessismore.....So long and happy decorating to all of you.

I have become so frustrated with this site that I gave up trying to log in as I was not able to do so for months. The new site I find is not really user friendly as far as I'm concerned, the old way seemed easier to navigate through. I think I will give up also. Wish I could of posted on the many topics but wasn't able to (login issues). I did enjoy reading through the posts. I did enjoy my time on here and appreciate the feedback I got from you.

I do think that you owe the people of this forum a better understanding of how you field-tested this new site as well as offering some response to the feedback that you are seeing here. I am surprised that none of these people were on your list of field-testers.
I am not sure how long you have been around for this but you are watching a lot of your key participants leave. Very unfortunate.
As for those of you that hook up with a new forum, please let me know. I have not been able to find one that I am yet pleased with but I must say, the wiki idea is sounding quite appealing to me at this point. I really want to share the results of my graduates bedroom makeover with all of you that helped me out so faithfully over that time period. Maybe Smoodgie can get a forum of sorts up and going on her site. Are you out there Smoodgie??

I have to agree. Although I don't post often I used to come every day and see what everyone was up to and get some great ideas. We are just getting ready to build a new house so I was looking forward to everyone help and advice.
I find that navigating through the site is just to difficult. Things load way to slow, there are way to many ads and threads that I have been looking for seemed to have disappeared. Although you can still find threads from a couple of years ago on the home page.
Its obvious that H&H cares more about the look of the site and not how user friendly it is.
I come to this site to have a coffee and sit back and relax. This is just not doing it for me anymore. So like others, I say so long, farwell.

Wow. I've been having a look around and I'm glad it's not just me that's not thrilled with this. Yikes!
It's painfully slow and difficult to navigate.
The site seems to get worse every day. Each forum has one or two newer threads at the top and everything else is from years ago, and like others I am only allowed to reply to threads, not create them. Perhaps the intent is to change this from being a members forum to a editorially controlled system where the topics of discussion are all chosen by H&H? Maybe we should just all run off and start a Wiki where we can freely discuss and seek input from each other. This place is a complete disaster and only getting worse by the day. And I agree, just what headway does H&H presume to suggest they have made in recent days in terms of fixing this mess?

Any Newbie would find this site incredibly uninteresting...you have no idea how to navigate it...where's the pics, where's the members list, private messages (?)

Hi there unfortunately I have to agree with Inglewood. I have been surfing for the past hour and have got no where. Everything is slow, I am seeing post that are from 2006 on the front left page. Where are all the new posts, and why can't we find who's on.
Anyway, I think I am going to stay away for awhile and see if it gets any better in a few weeks.

OMG, I thought they were going to ask some long-time users for their advice and to test the new design on them? Have any of you been asked? I sure wasn't. Not that I'm the most prolific of posters or that I've been around the longest, but there aren't that many of us "regulars" left.
So now the new site is up and running. Well it has gone from bad to worse and I'm prety much done with htis site. Wow what a mess and how do they really think htis is an improvement. I have been here for many years and now I drop by once in a while but I think I am done I am removing H&H from my favourites list and moving on to other sites tha actually work. I will miss many tha have been here for years but I have better things to do with my time that sit here waiting for this site. So long Jeep
What the H*** is going on with this site! It took 2 days to log in. Wouldn't recognize my "Inglewood"!!! NOw that I am finally in I can't figure out how to navigate the topics or forum. TECHies working on this need to make this site user friendly....it's worse now then it ever was!!!!!!

Not that i have been here much lately, heck i rarely make it to my blog these days but i actually signed in tonight. However, it is running real slow for me. Take a break and hopefully the forum improves, I notice the amount of postings has really slowed down around here, assuming due to forum troubles. Hope to see you back here when the forum gets straightened around, you offer lots of great advice here and it would be sad to see you not return.

Oh no! Just don't log out! I never log out and I have bookmarked the forums on my computer. So far, I only had one problem and I had to make up a new account...I hope you come back. I think you have such great savvy style and advice!
As soon as you have a new reno project on the go..you'll be back, dont worry.
Totally understand your frustration!!! I often can't log in to reply and just give up.
