I called. I spoke with a customer service agent. The service was so poor I never want to deal with them again as long as I live. What is this country coming to? Lately it seems everyone I deal with has nothing but crappy service. She was soooooooo rude to me! And then told me to call them back later when they weren't busy!!!! If you can believe that. I even told her I was interested in about $500 worth of goods (maybe more) and she just said "you'll have to call back later, we're busy right now". OMG

Thanks so much for mentioning that. We have an EQ3 here, but all their stuff is so low to the ground. I need nightstands that are at least 28 inches high. That's why I'm having such a hard time - they don't seem to make them much over 24, but when you do find them, they don't ship!!! LOL

I called the manager today (Name is Sam JOnes). NOT HELPFUL AT ALL. Bottom line is that they won't ship anywhere but local. They said that if I wanted to pay the hundreds of dollars, I could arrange my own shipping but they guarantee nothing outside of the store... well.. gee, that sort of ruined any excitement I had... I guess I'll have to drive to Toronto if I want anything. :-( This CITY sucks when it comes to contemp design!

That was incredibly rude, to tell you they're too busy and to call back later. At the VERY LEAST, the woman could have politely told you that she's busy at the moment, but to give her your phone number and SHE would call YOU back. Keep your $500 till you find a store that deserves to earn your money!!

As a side note to this topic, I will never, ever again buy any product made by Sharp. I bought a Sharp stereo about 10 years ago, and it was nothing but trouble. Customer service was terrible -- they had me make 3 1-1/2 hour round-trips to get the stupid thing fixed, and it never worked right. When they FINALLY admitted that it was unrepairable, they had me make an almost-3-hour round trip to get a replacement stereo. They told me it would be the newest model -- turned out to be the exact same model that I already had. And guess what?? The replacement wasn't any better!!

I do plan to call their manager back (his name is Sam - I got that much from her). He's in at 1:00. I'll call then. ARGH!!!

I couldn't get to their web page today...just as well. I can't be bothered to deal with rude people:) If some of these companies only knew how easily info. about their service gets around -just this forum alone! Oh well their loss;)
