some things to look into

I am confused as to where to click to get back to where I was, after opening a post and reading it. There is no link to go back to 'new posts'. I have to either go back to 'forums' and start over, or choose a category and flick through each topic.

Also, the prev. version had a preview mode which I really liked. Where you hover the mouse over the post and it gives you an idea of what the post is about. I don't want to have to open each and every post to see if it is worth reading. Can you bring that feature back again? thanks.

Looking forward to the improvements, and thanks for all the hard work!

Great tip, dustbunnydiva, I use tabs all the time! Especially on forums and news sites, it's nice to keep reading, and then go and check out the extra tabs you've opened in the background. I think Firefox opens the tabs in the background by default. Sometimes it gets out of hand and I end up with dozens of tabs!

Another option in the meantime, use your right click when you want to open a post and hit 'open link in new tab'. That keeps the original page intact and you can just close the new tab when you are done with the thread. It works with both Macs and PCs and saves a lot of loading, reloading using the 'back' button.

exacto! I would like the 'new posts' button to be more accessible.

Because if I reply to a post, then I cant' get back to 'new posts'. If I use the 'back' button, I have to go back through all the stuff I just went through to reply to the post.

Also another thing I noticed is when I 'Post Comment' I end up clicking twice. It doesnt post it immediately, just hangs around like a preview. Then when it does go through I have posted it twice.

Great job so far! Thanks

Can I add another ditty to this? There are notices that pop up when you log in to let you know there are private messages etc. and for me (maybe I am a bit slow or distracted) they vanish a little too quickly. When I log in I tend to get to navigating where I want to go and so far it's been a sudden realization there is some message but it vanishes before I can click on it. If it would hang around another couple of seconds I might have a better chance of seeing, reading, and clicking on it.

Good suggestion on the 'hover' idea - we'll get on that as soon as we can. I'm not sure I'm following you on the other point - do you mean that when you hit the back button on your browser, it doesn't take you back, or that you'd prefer the 'new posts' button more accessible (eg, on every page, or in the side menu)?
